Current Projects

  • I’m curating and programming a new festival for young people with the charity, The Bank of Dreams and Nightmares, which will take place in October 2024. Pupils from Sir John Colfox, Beaminster and Budmouth schools will have the opportunity to listen to, question and write with a range of fiction and non-fiction writers over 3 days.

  • This is a course for women wanting to refresh their knowledge of English Literature or to engage with it more deeply as well as to discover a range of creative writing opportunities. It will take place in a central location in Sherborne and run for 4 Tuesday mornings. Go to Courses for more detail.

  • I facilitate a weekly creative writing workshop for teenagers in Bridport for the charity, The Bank of Dreams and Nightmares. Look out for a fantastic new collection of their writing in the autumn. Find out more.

  • I write with a group of young Irish Travellers. We are currently working on a gothic soap opera set on their site which we hope will be recorded as a radio play in the autumn.

  • I took part in a panel discussion for Oxford University in February 2024 which focused on the decline in numbers of pupils taking English A levels. See my Manifesto on my About page for more.

  • This was a course in 2023 for women wanting to refresh their knowledge of English Literature or to engage with it more deeply as well as to discover a range of creative writing opportunities. Look out for the next one which will run in the autumn. “I thoroughly enjoyed delving into areas of literature that I know a bit about and perhaps enjoyed even more the challenge of discovering literature that I had previously been 'afraid' to approach.” Find out more.
